The assignment was to choose a manifesto, research its author(s) and historical context, and create a typographic poster. I selected Platform21’s Repair Manifesto, which highlights repair as a vital creative, cultural, and economic force. The manifesto advocates for shifting away from a ‘throwaway’ mindset and embracing durable design and repair practices to promote sustainability and independence.
